Reliable Employees and Great Pizza! The date was September, 8,Crater Lake National Park Gift Shop partner and I were camping in the area and long story short we got stranded at Annie Creek Restaurant due to a wild fire that had burnt through the power lines supplying power to Crater lake.

Prior to The pizza was excellent and the service was Crater Lake National Park Gift Shop class. We will absolutely return for the pizza alone; However, as circumstances would have it we were relying on the self service gas pump at the convenience store to provide us with the fuel to make it home. We soon found out at 8 AM that the resort had lost power due to the fire and that the gas pump was not operational.

We had no cell service, no gas, and emergency services were too preoccupied by the fire to help. Again, ironically Dwight Pfeffer was there to assist in helping us get gas.

Not only did he give us gas, but he provided shelter and food for two hikers that had been inconvenienced by the fire as well. Dwight drove two hours out of his way before his shift of work to retrieve us gas and did it with honorable class.

I would highly recommend visiting Crater Lake not for just the historical location, but to experience the pure hospitality that all of the employees have to offer. If you ever visit you need to eat the caprese pizza and know that you are in very safe and generous hands.
