A few of their trails, although mainly overgrown, still exist. It also hopes that the area will demonstrate that conservation, by Mount Obama National Park ecotourism, is economically important.
Seacology will fund descriptive and directional signage for the trails. Project Updates June Signage has been installed to help visitors both navigate the park and understand its natural features, and brochures were printed.

During the colonial area, escaped African slaves, called ‘maroons,’ hid out in the surrounding hills. Seacology will fund descriptive and directional signage for the trails.
